I Hate Lists

I absolutely hate lists.

Lists are the ugliest, most boring thing that you can look at.

A list is nothing.

A list is something to scroll over and forget.

A list is blah.

I’ve been doing a lot of UI/UX design lately as a result of working on Journey. I am very far from good, but I’m getting better. There certainly is a lot of work that goes into UI design. So much, that if you’re not willing to pay (a sizeable amount), for someone to do a proper UI/UX design, you’re not going to get good UI/UX design.

For the record, it is not a possibility to pay someone in India $5000 CDN, to design something for you and expect that you are going to get a good UX. Your user experience will be limited, because an IMMENSE, and unnoticed amount of work goes into ensuring you have the best experience possible.

For example, what about Apple, with their new Macbook Pro. What is the most common interaction with your laptop?

Your most common interaction is the keypad and mousepad.
What does Apple do? Apple reinvents the keyboard and touchpad to give you an unparalleled experience.

For the most part, these beautiful enhancements go unnoticed.

I continue to try and improve my UI/UX experience – which is exceedingly difficult.

My main goal, is to avoid lists where possible, and really enhance how data is presented. I just don’t know how to… TBH, there isn’t even ANY list alternative examples…… Weird…. Lists are so gosh darn ugly.

In the meantime, take a look at my Pinterest board, it shares some beautiful app designs used as inspiration within my app! Enjoy
