Before I begin, I’d like to take a quote from Meditations by Marcus Arelius Book V, 19:
Things themselves cannot touch the soul, not in the least degree; nor have they admission to the soul, nor can they turn or move the soul: the soul turns and moves itself alone, and whatever judgement it may think proper to make, such it makes by remaking for itself things that present themselves to it.
Beautiful.
So, here’s an opportunity to use my calamitous situation as an entry for humor, while making a mockery of my personal identity, and the societal segregation which occurs as a result of these practices; like the Shakespearean fool. Also, all of the below is true!
How To Be Better at Selling Drugs
First of all, I’m not going to go over obvious things, like having good supply, who you’re picking up from, etc. Seems like it’d be a waste of time. Also, many of the points do not apply to my situation in particular, but still, they are fact.
- Do not underestimate the powers of the police, and how much time, money, and resources they have in their disposal (at least in Calgary). This means big, small, it doesn’t matter. They can hit whatever they want whenever, and do whatever they want with no repercussions. Deep pockets, and an inattentive society to thank for that.
- When you are being pulled over (presumably):
- Attempt to get rid of your money in one way or another – The serial numbers of the moneys given to you by the undercover will be used against you.
- Damage your phone, or immobilize it such that they cannot call it while you are in holding – They will confirm it is the buy phone through calling it. If you can damage the sim, or the phone, they do not have access and once again less evidence against you.
- Remove drugs in one way or another
- Undercovers can be any age and gender. Specifically in my case, she was around 28 and a cute brunette. Damnit!
- Trust your instincts – I knew the girl was off with the way she acted, and the questions she asked, but I thought, “I’m too little for them to even bother”. Like why would a cop set up a sting on just someone who would be willing to sell a girl drugs. Jesus. Anyways, before leaving to meet her the last time, I told my friends, “If I don’t come back, I’m probably in jail”. I never came back.
- For most of you, this would likely be obvious, but don’t sell to a random, or better yet, just don’t sell drugs.
Now getting into some more serious things, depending on your operation.
- Within your group of accomplices, don’t use text messaging, or even a messaging platform such as WhatsApp. Police can attain access to these messaging routes quite easily (depending on what type of operation you’re running). Use an encrypted app such as “Wire”, or, even better, “Telegram” which is encrypted and automatically destroys correspondences after a given time.
- Informants are real. Police will take advantage of your weaker, and more vulnerable “clients” as a means of getting to your team. If Billy Bob is walking home completely wasted, and they know you’ve been in contact with him, you can bet they’ll find a way to break him if they want to. You have to be hyper-aware of your clients.
- Police Surveillance is real.
- Don’t think your buddies aren’t going to rat. This is a pretty juvenile thought.
- Train your soldiers.
So there it is. Some little things you can do better.
All said and done, I never want to be involved in anything like that again. It’s all fun and games until it’s not.
Moral of the story:
Surround yourself by people you admire (meaning their character traits: perseverance, fidelity, people who show true strength by doing what’s right, no matter what).
Don’t sell drugs and go do well in school dumbass.
